Cookie policy
Last updated June 2026 · Draft - pending legal review before any real client connection.
This is a working draft and will be finalised with legal review. It explains the cookies and similar technologies Aven uses, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them, and similar local-storage technologies, to keep you signed in, to keep the service secure, and - with your consent - to understand how the product is used.
The categories we use
- Strictly necessary - sign-in sessions and security (via Supabase Auth) and basic preferences. These are required for the service to work and do not need consent.
- Payments - set by Stripe during checkout to process payment securely and prevent fraud.
- Analytics (consent-based) - PostHog (EU region) helps us understand usage and fix errors. These are only set where you consent, and never capture source code or HMRC identifiers.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Managing cookies
You can withdraw or change your consent for non-essential cookies at any time, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings - though strictly necessary cookies are needed for sign-in to work. To ask about cookies or your data, email hello@avenhq.com.
Changes
We’ll update this policy as the service evolves and note the date above. Aven is operated under the trading name Aven HQ; full company details will be added on incorporation.
